To transfer a call
Depending on the system that you are currently using (Mobile App, Web Client or desk Phone) will determine the process to transfer a call.
Mobile App
While on a call you will see the 'Transfer' and 'Alt. transfer' buttons on the mobile device.
- Transfer: Selecting this option will place the call on hold then you can select the extension or phone number to transfer to then click 'Transfer' to complete the Transfer.
- Alt. Transfer: Selecting this option will place the call on hold then you can select the extension or phone number to transfer to. This will connect you with that extension or phone number. This gives you an opportunity to announce the transfer to the recipient then click the 'Join' button to complete the transfer.
Web Client
While on a call you will see the 'Transfer' and 'Alt. transfer' buttons on the Call pop-up window.
- Transfer: Selecting this option will place the call on hold then you can select the extension or phone number to transfer to then click 'Transfer' to complete the Transfer.
- Alt. Transfer: Selecting this option will place the call on hold then you can select the extension or phone number to transfer to. This will connect you with that extension or phone number. This gives you an opportunity to announce the transfer to the recipient then click the 'Transfer button again to complete the transfer.
Desk Phone
While on a call you have two options for transferring a call.
- Blind Transfer: Press the 'Transfer' button then dial the number you wish to transfer to then press 'Send' then hang up. This will transfer the call directly to the extension or phone number.
- Attended Transfer: Press 'Transfer' button then dial the extension or phone number. Press Send then this will connect you with the recipient to announce the call then press 'Transfer' to complete the transfer.
